PHT 2930 - Trends in Physical Therapy


2 Credit Hours
(Fall)

This course broadens the scope of the student’s understanding of the health care system. Topics include trends in healthcare and their influence on physical therapy, administrative procedures utilized in physical therapy, and ethical problem solving.  Community service, citizenship and advocacy will be addressed.   The course will include mock quizzes and a timed mock examination in preparation for the NPTE.  Students will also develop skills necessary for employment including interview techniques and developing a resume and cover letter.  This course requires a grade of C or higher. Co-requisite PHT 2820L  .

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Physical Therapy Program.

Corequisite(s): PHT 2820L
