The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as technical illustrators.  Technical illustrators are typically responsible for 2D and 3D illustrations for use in technical documents and service manuals.  Technical illustrators work in conjunction with engineers and technical writers to gather information that would be conveyed into technical drawings.  Drawing software can include AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, Isodrraw, PhotoShop, Illustrator or other software.

Students who successfully complete selected courses from this program of study may be eligible to receive the college credit certificates in Computer-Aided Technical Design Certificate (CCC)  (State CIP Code 0615130204).
