LIT2120 World Literature: Renaissance through the Present - 3 Credit Hours
(Offered, Fall, Spring, Summer)
Designed to encourage students to know and appreciate the great literature that helps to mold their thinking and everyday living. Includes, without regard to national origin, those masterpieces of world literature, from the Renaissance to the present, that reflect cultural and intellectual heritage. May be used as a humanities credit. Course readings will be derived from the western canon. In addition and to the extent possible, the course will provide instruction on the historical background and philosophical foundation of western civilization and the American democracy.
Prerequisite(s): ENC 1101 . (Note: LIT 2100 is not a prerequisite for this course)
