AML2010 American Literature: 1492 - 1865 - 3 Credit Hours
(Offered as needed)
A course in American Literature from the pre-Colonial period to the Civil War. This course may be used for Humanities credit. Course readings will be derived from the western canon. In addition and to the extent possible, the course will provide instruction on the historical background and philosophical foundation of western civilization and American democracy.
