CCP in Nursing Assistant

Program Description

The Nursing Assistant program provides students with essential knowledge and skills required to pursue a career in the healthcare field as a certified nursing assistant. This program covers theoretical concepts, practical training, and hands-on experience to prepare students for entry-level positions in various healthcare settings. The completion of the Nursing Assistant program prepares and qualifies students to be eligible to sit for the Florida Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant examination.

Students will be expected to undergo a background check and drug screen and provide immunization records for the attendance requirements of the clinical rotation through local medical facilities. Students must be at least 16 years old to enroll in this program. Additionally, to be eligible for the Florida Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant certification exam, students must be at least 18 years old or provide a copy of their high school transcripts or equivalent documentation. 

Students should be cognizant of the time commitment required for clinical hours, two 8-hour-days/week for two weeks (a total of four days).
