Testing Services


Northwest Florida State College offers comprehensive testing services for students and the community. Services include but are not limited to program entrance exams, college placement tests as outlined in § 1008.30, Fla. Stat. ( 2025), credit for knowledge exams, professional certification and licensure exams, and proctored exams.

NWFSC delivers secure professional certification testing for students and the community through Pearson, PSI, FAA, Certiport, MSSC, NCCER and other industry recognized agencies. NWFSC provides proctored exams for students and non-students including make-up exams, remote testing, online exams, and testing with accommodations. Students with disabilities can inquire about testing accommodations through our Accommodation Resource Center (arc@nwfsc.edu) or visit https://www.nwfsc.edu/accommodations/.

Testing sessions are administered in a secure and distraction reduced environment by certified proctors pursuant to § 1008.24, Fla. Stat. ( 2025). Testing Fees


Testing fees may be paid to the Cashier’s Office by cash or check only. Credit card payments are not accepted at any of our campuses or centers. Testing appointments should be scheduled online in advance at RegisterBlast. A $3.50 convenience fee is added when payment is processed online using RegisterBlast.

DSST (formerly DANTES Subject Standardized Tests) are credit-by-examination tests originated by the United States Department of Defense’s Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) program.

Proctored Exams for non-NWFSC students

Students requiring tests for other institutions must pay a testing fee and can participate on a space available basis. This fee applies to proctored exams, MSSC, TEAS, and other tests that may otherwise be free for NWFSC students.

Professional Certification Exams

Various exams offered through Pearson VUE. Exams include but are not limited to NREMT, CISCO, Comp TIA, FAA, PSI, etc.

Fees are collected directly by testing company and vary by exam.

ACT and SAT Testing

NWFSC hosts the college admissions exams. Questions concerning the SAT exam should be directed to the College Board at (866) 630-9305 or www.collegeboard.org.

Questions regarding the ACT exam should be directed to (319) 337-1270 or www.act.org

Fees are collected directly by SAT and ACT and vary by exam.
