Admissions Requirement: The applicant must 1) earn a Postsecondary Education Readiness (PERT) score that demonstrates college readiness (score information)  or 2) pass Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE) with a completion level 10, unless otherwise exempt. 

Entry into the Firefighting Certificate Program requires meeting the standards established by the Florida Division of State Fire Marshal, Bureau of Fire Standards and Training. A copy of these requirements is available through the Public Safety Division of NWF State College.
