PHT 1128 - Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology 3 Credit Hours (Spring)
This course provides an in-depth study of the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system, with emphasis on the biomechanical principles of human motion, to include the
organization and function of the nervous system and how it interacts with the musculoskeletal system for control and balanced mobility of the human body. Foundations of functional motions will be covered, such as biomechanics of muscle action, levers and torques in relation to human body, and basic physics concepts that applies to physical therapy. This course requires a grade of C or higher.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the PTA Technical Program.
Corequisite(s): PHT 1128L - Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology Lab 2 Credit Hours
