EDF 1005 - Introduction to the Teaching Profession (Elementary Education) 3 Credit Hours (Fall, Spring)
A study of the history, philosophy, and social context of education. The course will help the student think critically about the process of education and their role as an educator.During an eighteen hour field experience, the student will observe and participate an elementary educational setting. An additional fingerprinting cost may be associated with this course. If used to meet state prerequisite requirements for entry intoaBachelor ofTeacher Education program, this course requires a minimum grade of “C.”
Prerequisite(s): ENC 1101 AND MAC 1105 – minimum grade of “C” for both courses
