NUR 4827C - Nursing Leadership and Management 5 Credit Hours (Fall, Spring)
This course focuses on evidence-based principles of nursing leadership, management, collaboration, and coordination in healthcare settings. Students engage in a variety of healthcare clinical scenarios applying principles of leadership and management integral to professional nursing practice through safety-enhanced technology and legal and ethical standards. Students examine concepts and theories for managing practical change, communication, and conflict resolutions with interdisciplinary teams respecting differing values, beliefs, and preferences in decision-making. Students demonstrate effective planning to implement and evaluate process improvement in nursing practice. Students engage in professional and personal reflection demonstrating value to on-going professional and personal development.
