Course Description

This course offers a comprehensive study of the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system, emphasizing biomechanical principles of human movement. Topics include the organization and function of the nervous system and its interacts with the musculoskeletal system to achieve controlled and balanced mobility. Foundations of functional movement are explored including biomechanics of muscle action, lever systems, torque, and fundamental physics concepts relevant to physical therapy practice. This course requires a grade of C or higher.
