Phlebotomy

This course trains students on blood collection techniques through venipuncture and capillary puncture. Students will learn best safety practices, infection control, specimen processing, basic anatomy and physiology, and patient relations. Part of this course includes a clinical internship, which requires a background check and drug screen. This course is part of the phlebotomy certificate program. Registration for this course requires approval from the program director.
