Developmental Mathematics Combined
Course Description
A course designed to satisfy the requirements of both MAT0018 and MAT0028 in one semester and prepare students for MAC 1105C, STA 2023, and MGF 1130. Topics to be studied include computations with decimals, percents, integers, operations with rational and polynomial expressions, linear equations and inequalities in one variable, factoring, and basic linear graphing. This course will teach the student to understand and communicate concepts of algebra in the language of mathematics, both orally and written. Due to the nature of this course, calculators are not permitted. A grade of C or better is required for successful completion of this course. College preparatory credits may not be counted toward fulfilling the number of credits required for a degree.
