Course Description
A study of major literary works from antiquity through the Renaissance, selected from a range of global traditions. The course emphasizes close reading and critical analysis of texts within their historical and cultural contexts. This course may be used to fulfill a humanities credit. Course readings will be derived from the Western canon and other works relevant to world literature.
