The student will summarize the essentials of an adequate diet, describe the function of specific nutrients in the human body, and outline methods of planning food intake to supply essential nutrients.
he student will summarize the benefits of good nutrition and the disadvantages of poor nutrition.
The student will list the nutritional needs of special groups – children, pregnant women, athletes, and older persons.
he student will receive current nutrition research findings (cholesterol, trace elements, etc.) currently updated.
