The student will become familiar with human gross anatomy and be able to express this understanding by both articulation and written communication
The student will learn the fundamentals of chemistry and be able to apply this knowledge to the workings of the human body
The student will learn the basic tenets of cell biology and be able to develop a chain of reasoning that applies these principles from cells to tissues to organs and organ systems
The student will recognize the structure and understand the functions of the basic tissues of the human body
The student will recognize the structure and understand the functions of the eleven major organ systems of the human body
The student will learn basic molecular genetics, chromosomal inheritance and their relationship to genetic diseases
The student will learn the basic phases and specific anatomical and physiological changes that are encountered as one progresses through a human life cycle.
