The student will discuss how works are categorized in reference to chronology, style and subject matter

The student will identify time periods, geographical regions and stylistic characteristics of art and artifacts from the prehistoric period to the renaissance

The student will develop an art vocabulary encompassing recognized historical periods, methods and media

The student will explore significant religious concepts, philosophical movements, historical figures, events and places, and discuss their relation to works of art.
