Information And Additional Notes

An applicant for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree program may be admitted with the following:

  • Completion of NWFSC Admission Application for the B.S.N program. Note that current NWFSC students must reapply to the College for the B.S.N program.

  • Completion of an associate in science degree in nursing (A.S.N.) or a nursing diploma program prior to enrollment. Program approval will be required for applicants who completed a program other than a nationally accredited A.S.N program.

  • Documentation of a clear and active R.N. license. Recent graduates of nursing programs who have not yet obtained an R.N. license may apply but can only take limited courses in the B.S.N program prior to passing the licensure exam. Please contact the program for further information. The conditional status will be removed once the student provides a copy of their R.N. license.

  • Documentation of a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or higher in all college credit coursework and a grade of C or higher in all courses (core and General Education) applicable to the R.N. to B.S.N. degree program. Depending on program capacity, students with less than a 2.75 GPA may be admitted on a provisional basis. However, in all cases, the student must have earned a C or higher in all courses needed for the B.S.N. degree. Provisional status may be removed if the student earns a GPA of 3.0 or higher for their first eight upper-division nursing credits at the College. If this benchmark is not met, the student will not be permitted to continue in the R.N. to B.S.N. degree program. Pre-requisite and General Education courses should be completed prior to enrolling in upper-division nursing courses.

  • Contact the B.S.N. Department at (850) 729-6400 for additional information.

Unless otherwise specified, select courses from each category, see the A.A. General Education Requirements section of catalog for course listings:

A minimum grade of C in all lower division courses is required.
