PHT 1224 - Therapeutic Techniques and Disabilities


3 Credit Hours
(Fall)

An overview of principles and techniques of basic physical therapy interventions, with emphasis on physiological changes and effects in commonly seen disorders across the lifespan. Will include therapeutic exercises, gait training with assistive devices, manual therapy, postural analysis, aerobic conditioning and airway clearance techniques. This course requires a grade of C or higher.

Prerequisite(s): PHT 1007 - Topics in Physical Therapy 3 Credit Hours  , PHT 1128 - Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology 3 Credit Hours   , PHT 1128L - Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology Lab 2 Credit Hours
