Topics include medical billing and coding, insurance terminology, utilization review processes, and accounts receivable management. The course also examines government influences on reimbursement, such as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rulings, and strategies for growth and operational efficiency in healthcare agencies. Emphasis is placed on understanding the revenue cycle and the role of medical documentation in maximizing reimbursement.
