Welcome from the President

Welcome to Northwest Florida State College! At NWFSC, our mission is our students – helping each person who comes through our doors to achieve their individual goals for education and career success.

In fact, our official mission statement begins with “Northwest Florida State College Improves Lives”. Those aren’t empty words - in the college’s 50 years of serving the region, we’ve positively impacted the lives of more than 350,160 individuals, and more than 35,440 have earned degrees or certificates from NWFSC.

The college is committed to providing you with Opportunity - meeting your educational needs at your level of ability and to helping you achieve Success - preparing you for the future. We offer a variety of learning environments - from our seven convenient campus and center locations to our eCampus online opportunities - that are specifically designed to help you earn your college degree, upgrade your career skills or prepare for successful transfer to the university level.

NWFSC offers educational opportunities from the GED high school equivalent diploma to innovative Bachelor’s degrees - all at tuition rates that are among the lowest in Florida and in the country. NWFSC is simply your best choice for higher education. I encourage you to tour our facilities, talk with an academic advisor and learn more about how NWFSC can make a positive impact on your life and future.

Improve your life … go Northwest!

Ty Handy, NWFSC President
